Commence your journey with an early morning pickup from your hotel and transfer to the Dar es Salaam Domestic Terminal for your charter flight to Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival in the early morning, you'll be greeted by your hotel representative and transferred to your chosen accommodation for lunch and relaxation. Embark on two shared game drives during the day, immersing yourself in the vastness of the Selous. Witness the abundant wildlife, including frequent sightings of lions lounging near the lakes, while the Rufiji River delights with its bustling hippo and crocodile populations. Marvel at the diverse birdlife that graces the skies, adding to the reserve's allure. Keep an eye out for the elusive wild dog, a highlight of the park's wildlife encounters.
Enjoy two full days immersed in the wonders of Selous Game Reserve. Your experience is tailored to your preferences, offering flexibility and personalized adventures. Consult with your guide or camp manager to plan your day according to your desires, whether it's embarking on exhilarating game drives or indulging in leisurely activities like walking safaris or boat excursions. The typical safari day comprises two shared game drives, allowing you to explore the reserve's diverse landscapes and encounter its rich wildlife. Delight in morning game drives followed by a relaxing lunch and downtime at the camp, then venture out again for afternoon game viewing sessions. Your schedule is designed to maximize your safari experience and create lasting memories amidst Selous' pristine wilderness.
Commence your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha National Park. En route, soak in the breathtaking vistas of Selous' expansive plains, possibly catching glimpses of wildlife beginning their day. Arriving at Ruaha around 11 am, you'll be welcomed with the opportunity for two shared game drives and lunch at your chosen accommodation. Renowned as Tanzania's largest park, Ruaha is a haven for predators, boasting impressive lion prides and the rare wild dog. Its vast expanse exudes a true sense of wilderness, offering unparalleled encounters with diverse wildlife amidst serene surroundings. With relatively few visitors, Ruaha promises an exclusive safari experience, perfect for those seeking an immersive journey into Tanzania's untamed nature.
Full days in Ruaha National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. Your guide or camp manager will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, the normal safari day would be composed with 2 shared game drives where you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive.
On this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. It's really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding breakfast and then proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam, or whatever your next amazing destination might be (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of this early morning game drive, you may choose to stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation
