Tour Plan

● Hiking time: 7 hours

Your Kilimanjaro trek begins with a 7-hour hike, traversing the village of Machame nestled on the mountain's lower slopes. After entering Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, you'll wander through the enchanting rainforest along a winding trail that leads you to Machame Camp.

● Hiking time: 5 hours

On day two, the journey shifts as you leave the rainforest behind, entering an ascending path toward a rocky ridge adorned with heather. The route turns west, guiding you through a river gorge to the Shira Campsite, offering breathtaking vistas.

● Hiking Time: 7 hours
Venturing from the Shira Plateau, your path leads east along a ridge, where you'll pass the intriguing Lava Tower, known as the "Shark's Tooth." Continue to the Barranco campsite, marked by high alpine desert terrain and an evolving landscape.
 ● Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
Prepare for a challenging day of ascending the Barranco Wall, a rocky face that involves some scrambling but is not technically challenging. The transition from moorlands to high alpine desert unveils unique vegetation. Karanga Camp, the last water point en route to the summit, awaits you.
 ● Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
Your journey continues with a steady climb to Barafu Camp, offering panoramic views from the South Circuit. Kosovo Camp lies just ahead, a place to rest, enjoy a full summit briefing, and savor views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

● Trekking Time: 10-12 hours

The summit day begins at midnight to 1 am, and you ascend under the starry sky, aiming to reach Stella Point by sunrise. The steep volcanic scree gives way to graded zig-zags, leading to Uhuru Peak and spectacular glacier views. Descending to Kosovo Camp, you'll wrap up your summit adventure.

● Trekking Time: 2-4 hours

Descend through a lush tropical forest, resonating with bird-song, to the Mweka Gate. A celebration with your porters and a well-deserved certificate await. After a sumptuous lunch, the journey back to Arusha concludes your remarkable Kilimanjaro experience.
