Nestled in East Africa’s embrace, the Udzungwa Mountain National Park spans 1900 sq km, where the Great Ruaha River flows to the north, neighboring Mikumi National Park and the Selous Game Reserve. What makes Udzungwa Mountains unique is its pristine, biologically diverse forest, home to plant species found nowhere else on Earth, from the smallest African violet to towering 30-meter trees.
This national park boasts a wealth of endemic animal and plant species, as well as awe-inspiring mountain scenery, grasslands, rocky landscapes, and cascading waterfalls. Among its most remarkable inhabitants are the Iringa red colobus monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey, discovered as recently as 1979. With six primate species, elephant populations, buffalo, lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, and a diverse range of forest bird species, Udzungwa Mountains holds a treasure trove of natural wonders.

Your adventure begins with a pickup in Dar es Salaam, leading you to the captivating landscapes of Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Upon arrival, embark on an exhilarating hike to extraordinary waterfalls, offering magnificent views and a chance for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters. Along the way, you may encounter primates and mammals, creating unforgettable moments. Spend the night camping in the park, embracing the unique experience.
After a hearty breakfast, delve into the mountain forests to seek the rare and endangered Red Colobus Monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey, an exceptional wildlife encounter.
