Your Kilimanjaro adventure kicks off with a transfer to Marangu Gate, where registration and formalities take 2-3 hours. The journey then leads you through the rainforest to Mandara Hut, offering a glimpse into the captivating Mound Crater. Spend the night at Mandara Hut, surrounded by the lushness of Montane forest.

● Hiking Time: 5-6 hours.

A hearty breakfast fuels your ascent, leaving the rainforest behind as you journey toward Horombo Hut. Trek through rolling moorlands and relish your first clear view of Kilimanjaro's imposing presence. Horombo Hut awaits, nestled amidst enchanting moorland.

This day involves an early start as you make your way to the final hut before the summit attempt. Trekking through a hypoxic alpine desert, your progress is slow in the low-oxygen environment, leading you to Kibo Hut. Here, you'll relax and prepare for the night-time summit ascent.

The climax of your journey begins in the early morning, around midnight. Climb to the summit, reaching Gilman's Point on the crater rim before ascending to Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point. Witness breathtaking views and capture memories at the summit. Descend to Kibo Hut for a rest before continuing to Horombo encampment, experiencing the most challenging part of the trek.

After breakfast, a steady descent takes you to Mandara Hut, proceeding through the lush forest path to the Marangu National Park gate. Expect a wet and muddy terrain at lower elevations. Gaiters and trekking poles are your allies here. Your journey concludes as a vehicle awaits at Marangu gate to return you to Arusha, where you can relish your accomplishments.
